In the light of the upcoming celebration of the Nativity of Christ (January 7th) according to the “Old” Julian Calendar, we talked about the Theotokos, Mary the Birth-giver of Christ.
We explained the Orthodox dogmatic and traditional teaching about Her, Who became the new Eve for the human kind. We also talked about the heresies and the confusion about some Christian confessions regarding the Ever-Virginity of the Theotokos that are described in the Old and in the New Testament throughout the writings of the Old Testament Prophets, the Apostles and the Early Church Fathers of the Church of Christ.
Next Wednesday (January 10th) from 6:20 pm, we will continue with Q & A about the the Orthodox Church perspective on the Theotokos and we will introduce the early Fathers of the Church, who became the successors of the Apostles since the Birthday of our Church in the I century on the Day of the Pentecost. Everyone is welcome to join us!
